App Permissions

When the app permissions are set correctly, the app user can enjoy the benefits of Parousya events when the app is in the background, when the screen is off and even when the app is terminated. As a result the app will provide a more personalized and engaging experience for users.

App Permission Settings

Both iOS and Android operating systems display permissions request for Bluetooth, Location and Notifications to protect user privacy and ensure a transparent and user-friendly experience.

iOS

Bluetooth

When the app starts for the first time, iOS will prompt the user with a Bluetooth permission request.

Note: Parousya requires the app user to select "OK".

Location

App users need to be given an explanation why your app requires them to allow location services to be set to "Always Allow"

[the name of your app] uses your location to show available digital services (while the app is open), and to notify you when you are in a digital services location (while the app is in the background)

Permission Requests

To grant permanent "Always Allow" permission for location services on iOS devices, app users need to go through the following events:

Permission Requests	Explanation	Desired User Action
Initial Permission Request	When the app first requires location services, it will prompt the user with a permission request.	The user should select "Allow While Using App" or "Allow Once" to proceed.
Provisional "Always Allow" Request	After the user has granted permission for location services and actively used the app for a while, the app can present a second permission request for provisional "Always Allow" access.	The user needs to select "Change to Always Allow" to grant this level of permission.
Permanent "Always Allow" Confirmation:	The iOS system will later show a confirmation dialog, informing the user that the app has been using their location in the background.	The user should choose "Always Allow" to confirm the permanent permission for location services.

Notifications

When the app starts for the first time, iOS will prompt the user with a notifications permission request.:

When the app starts for the first time, Android will prompt the user with a location permission request.

Notifications

When the app starts for the first time, Android will prompt the user with a notifications permission request.
